The trip is set and ready to begin tomorrow afternoon! The players are back on campus and have spent the week training and preparing for the tour. US dollars have been exchanged to Euros, bags are packed and all are watching the time tick by - waiting for tomorrow so that the adventure may begin!
The traveling party includes 23 players, the women's soccer coaches and trainer and myself along with our Women's Soccer Friends Group President. The trip promises an opportunity to take in the many sites throughout France, Italy, Germany and Switzerland. We will begin in Paris with a guided tour and a visit to the Eiffel Tower. Additional days will bring a night cruise on the Seine River, guided tours in Lyon, Florence, Milan and Frankfurt, a bike tour in Munich, white water rafting in the French Alps as well as two World Cup Games while in Germany! The team will also take part in 4 competitive games while traveling abroad:
June 23rd vs. Liguria Selection
June 25th vs. ASD Mozzanica
June 26th vs. FCF Como 2000
June 28th vs . FC Zurich Frauen
Don't forget to become a follower of our blog today. We'll upload pictures as often as we can, get insight from the team and coaches and tell the story of everyone as we continue on our way.
Ever True,
Laura
I think it's great that you all will be in Europe during the Women's World Cup. I hope you get to attend one or more of the matches.
